Supply Chain Updates, August 2026

Below you’ll find important updates for partner tooling, new support guides, expanded analytics capabilities, and more. Last updated 2026-09-03

Hello, valued partners! This page serves as a notification to inform you of recent updates.

Launched: Short-Form Content Submission Tool

A new UI-based submission tool for Clips and Podcasts is now available. This tool enables partners and creators with smaller content libraries to submit, publish, and manage short-form content on Prime Video through a streamlined interface.
What this means for you: If you produce short-form content such as Clips or Podcasts and are interested in getting started, reach out to your CAM. The team is actively engaging studios and gathering requirements for the next phase.

Launched: Playback Dashboard: Now Generally Available with 2 Years of History

The Playback Dashboard is now live for all Prime Video Channels partners, backed by a rebuilt data engine that holds a full two years of historical playback data. Data is refreshed every 6 to 8 hours.
Previously, most partners could only look back across a rolling 30-day window. That made it difficult to spot seasonality, compare a title’s performance year over year, or understand how engagement evolves after launch. Now you can select any custom date range within the past two years, and visualizations refresh in about three seconds even across longer ranges. The dashboard is available to your whole team with no seat limits.
What this means for you:

  • Plan with confidence — Benchmark new releases against comparable past titles using two years of viewership trends
  • Measure durability — Quantify how long a title holds audience attention well beyond premiere week
  • Self-serve on your schedule — Pull the data you need without waiting on ad-hoc requests or partner manager support

Launched: TVOD Dashboard: New Data Fields and Build-Your-Own Reporting

The TVOD Dashboard now runs on the same fast, two-year-history backend as Playback, with data refreshed every 6 to 8 hours. Two new capabilities have been added: additional data fields for deeper transactional insight, and dynamic report generation that lets you build and export custom reports directly from the dashboard.
On the data side, TVOD reporting is expanding toward richer, anonymized detail that helps you understand transactions by dimensions like geography and acquisition source rather than top-line totals alone. On the reporting side, you can now choose your own time range, group-by fields, metrics, and filters from the dashboard’s table exports. A report that used to require a request to your partner manager is now something you can produce in a couple of clicks.
What this means for you:

  • Deeper insight into where transactions come from — Sharpen marketing and merchandising decisions with granular dimensional data
  • Custom reports on demand — Get exactly the cut of data you need, on your schedule, in a format you control
  • Less waiting, faster answers — Reduce your dependence on manual ad-hoc requests and shorten the path from question to decision

Launched: Delivering your content via mRSS Feeds

A new delivery method is now available to Prime Video partners. Quick episodic content such as News, Podcasts, Creator series, and Sports highlights can be delivered via mRSS Feeds. Delivering via mRSS Feed eliminates the need to maintain and delivery multiple XML files, allowing partners to maintain one feed which can be updated with information about multiple episodes at once.

What it means for you: You can streamline your deliveries for episodic content utilizing the mRSS feed experience. Learn more on how Prime Video uses mRSS feeds, the detailed specifications and sample files on the Delivering you content via mRSS Feeds Slate Support Guide.

Launched: SLATE Artwork Guidelines Refresh

We’re restructuring our support pages in a more digestible format and with clearer language to provide clarity on publishing rules and guidelines, as well as recent updates like Episodic Artwork. I am pleased to announce that Artwork was one of the first pages to receive this treatment. To be clear — no new requirements were introduced. This is purely a clarity and usability improvement designed to help partners find and follow specs faster.

Launched: Dataset APIs

Dataset APIs are now available to all partners and can be requested through your CAM.

What’s coming next:
In Q3 2026, you can expect:

  • Self-serve Dashboard Admin — Partner admins will be able to manage dashboard access directly
  • Dataset expansion begins — APIs will start extending to SVOD/AVOD and Linear program-level datasets

In Q4 2026, you can expect:

  • Self-serve Reporting Admin — Self-service control over scheduled and on-demand report access
  • Bulk configuration import — Bulk upload for partners with many regional identifiers (e.g., TVOD)
  • Dataset expansion continues — Broader coverage across additional dataset types

Coming soon: Asset Quick View

On June 30, we’re launching Asset Quick View to give partners more detailed visibility into their assets, such as images, subtitles, and more. You’ll be able to easily identify Prime Video-provided assets at a glance and override them with your own, if preferred.

We’ll launch complete instructions for using Asset Quick View here in the Slate support guide when the tool is released. On or after June 30, search the help docs for “Asset Quick View,” or click the following link when it becomes active: Asset Quick View.

Launched: Content Issues Report to Slate: Support Guide

The biweekly Content Issues Report (Redelivery) email was deprecated on June 15, 2026, and the defect and quality error information it contained is now available in Slate. If you previously worked from that email, the Content Issues Report to Slate: Support Guide maps every element of the email and its spreadsheet attachment to its current location in the Assets tab, Asset Quick View, Avails tab and Slate exports. Below is what each section of the guide covers:

  • Getting Started explains what changed, walks the new workflow end to end in eight steps, and breaks down the Redelivery widget row by row so you know where to begin.
  • Feature Mapping covers each element one at a time, with interactive views showing where it sits in the Slate UI.
  • Exports compares the old spreadsheet against the Assets, Errors, and Proxy exports column by column, and includes a chooser for deciding which export you need.
  • Glossary defines every Slate term used and where it appears.
  • FAQ answers the questions we are asked most, step by step.

Updated: Proxy Link Export for Playable Assets

The Proxy Link Export for Playable Assets support guide now reflects that Dubcard-free versions are available for both SD SDR and HD SDR. We also clarified quality behavior: if you only delivered an HD video, the system may generate both an SD and an HD proxy link.

Launched: TVOD Global Requirements – EG & ZA Added to TVOD Expansion Scope

Building on the LATAM6, SEA5, and MENA2 territories already in flight for TVOD expansion, EG and ZA will be included in the September 15 TVOD expansion with LATAM6, SEA5, and MENA2 territories..
Please review the TVOD Global Requirements Slate page for territory-specific Minimum Language Requirements (MLR) to ensure your deliveries are compliant.

Updates to: India Accessibility: Audio Description & Closed Captions Now Recommended

In line with India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) regulation, Audio Description (AD) and Closed Captions (CC) are now recommended assets for all content released in India on or after February 6, 2026.

For titles where the Original Version (OV) is in an Indian language or English, AD and CC are recommended in the OV language. For foreign language titles with an Indian language or English dub available, AD and CC are recommended in any of the available dubbed Indian languages or English. For foreign language titles without an Indian language or English dub, AD and CC is recommended in English and AD in the foreign language. These assets are currently recommended and will not block publishing. Following our Q2 pipeline improvement to allow IN PVD studios to upload AD, we encourage partners to begin planning AD and CC delivery where feasible and will continue to share updates as accessibility requirements evolve. AD Asset specification and PV Style Guide published here.

Updates to: Notifications API – Asset Status Notifications

The Notifications API now supports AssetStatusUpdated event notifications, enabling you to receive real-time alerts when an asset delivery reaches an outcome (Fulfilled or Failed) — eliminating the need to poll the Asset Status API. Notifications can be delivered to your existing systems via AWS services (SQS, SNS, EventBridge) or HTTPS webhooks.

What this means for you: You can detect delivery failures instantly and trigger automated re-delivery or ticketing workflows. Setup instructions and payload schemas are available on the Notifications API support page.

Aspera on Cloud Deprecation

On Thursday, August 27th, Prime Video deprecated its implementation of Aspera (Aspera Shares) to Aspera on Cloud.
What this means for you: All users who did not complete the migration will need to follow instructions on the Bulk File Delivery via IBM Aspera page to regain access. Once new credentials are set up, Prime Video will inform you via email and provide detailed self-service instructions on how to complete set up. If you do not wish to migrate to Aspera on Cloud, AWS S3 is available as an alternative.

Coming Soon: Due Date Enhancement Phase 2 (Window Start Date & Latest End Date Columns)

Two new columns will appear in the Assets tab: Window Start Date and Latest End Date, giving partners direct visibility into the active availability window. The existing Earliest Start Date column remains unchanged for historical reference. Both new columns will be available in CSV exports and API responses.

Coming Soon: Catalog Homepage (Q4 2026)

Today, whether you are confirming a title is live, finding what needs fixing, or deciding what to work on next, the answer is spread across four tabs in Slate Catalog Manager. Catalog Homepage adds a single starting surface for your entire catalog. The new feature will arrive in phases; the first release brings catalog health, your highest-priority actions, and the titles you choose to follow into one place and lets you search and ask questions about your catalog instead of locating the right tab, filter, and column. You will also be able to configure which sections appear, so the page matches how your team works. Later phases will add launch schedules, delivery performance metrics, and alerting.

Support guide information will be available here.

Coming Soon: Title Status Rollup (Q4 2026)

Today, confirming whether a title is ready to launch requires checking the Titles, Avails, Assets, and Deliveries tabs separately, where each tab reports status differently and one label can describe several things at once: the state of the title, whether its assets are fulfilled, and how urgent the work is. Title Status Rollup answers these questions separately at the title level, so you can see whether a title is live, whether it can publish successfully, what to do next, and by when.

Coming Soon: Asset Sharing — A New Way to Receive Borrowed Content

Today, borrowed content appears on your Slate page with limited visibility into delivery status. With Asset Sharing, you’ll receive media assets directly within your catalog — no more guessing whether something has been delivered or requires action. Borrowed assets will be clearly flagged, so you always know what’s yours and what’s shared. Images and metadata will flow automatically once titles are matched, reducing manual steps and helping your content go live faster.

Here’s what this means for you:

  • Greater transparency— See real-time delivery status for all borrowed assets
  • Simplified workflows— Media assets arrive directly in your catalog, ready for action
  • Clearer ownership signals— Borrowed content is distinctly labeled so nothing gets missed

Stay tuned for more details on timing and what to expect as we roll this out.

Coming Soon: PV Roadshow Amsterdam 2026

PV Roadshows are great opportunities for partners and Prime Video to talk face to face about upcoming business and product priorities. On September 12, 2026, Prime Video Roadshow: Amsterdam will offer a full day of events designed specifically for professionals in ops/tech roles from PV’s preferred vendors. The Main Session and several focus groups will dive deep into upcoming changes to the tools for content delivery. Invitations have been sent, and RSVPs are due September 3. To learn more about upcoming PV Roadshows for content partners as well as other events and feedback tools sponsored by PV’s Voice of Partner visit our page in Slate.
