Asset Quick View provides partners with instant access to detailed asset information directly from the Assets tab in Slate, helping you increase asset coverage and compliance on Prime Video. This feature allows you to preview Prime Video-generated artwork with an enhanced visual experience and identify and manage quality defects for your playable assets.

Accessing the Assets Tab

You can access the Assets tab in two ways:

  1. From the navigation bar: Click Catalog at the top of the window, then select Assets from the dropdown menu
  2. From the Slate home page: In the Key tools section, click Catalog, then select Assets

Working with Artwork Assets

Finding Prime Video-Provided Artwork

  1. In the Assets tab, select the Delivery Accounts filter
  2. Filter for “Prime Video” (note: search is case-sensitive, use correct capitalization)
  3. Click any asset to launch the Quick View panel

Understanding the Artwork Quick View Panel
The panel displays:

  • Asset type at the top
  • Visual preview of the artwork
  • Flashcard section with metadata including ‘Provided by Prime Video’ tag
  • Magnifying glass icon to zoom in on images (click X or outside the image to close)
  • Expandable detail rows for asset details, delivery and fulfillment, title details, and title identifiers

Tip: Click “Expand all” to view all additional details at once.

Managing Quality Errors for Playable Assets

Filtering for Assets with Quality Issues

Apply advanced filters in the Asset tab:

  • Select “Action Needed”
  • Select “Action Recommended”
  • Select “Errors value exists”

Action Needed: applies to required assets that have publish-blocking issues or quality errors resulting in the asset being blocked from publish
Action Recommended: applies to required assets that have minor (non-asset-blocking) quality issues, or any spec/quality issue on an Optional asset.

Understanding the Errors Section

When you click on a playable asset with quality defects, the Quick View panel displays an Errors expandable row showing:

  • Quality (Manual): Human-verified defects
  • Quality (Auto): Automatically detected issues
  • Specific quality parameters including timestamps, sync offsets, and dialog defect rates
  • Visual indicators distinguishing between publishing-blocking and non-blocking defects

Taking Action on Quality Defects

Flagging False Positives or Creative Intent

  • Select “Not an error?” to flag creative decisions or challenge Prime Video quality assessments

Viewing Assets

  • Use the Copy Proxy link to view the original or Prime Video-provided asset
  • Download assets to examine in your own players for detailed troubleshooting
  • Note: Proxy links expire in 5 minutes; simply click ‘Copy Proxy link’ again to generate a new link

Replacing Assets

  1. Click the Replace button in the Quick View panel
  2. Upload replacement assets with either the same or different file name
    • If using a different file name, ensure you update the corresponding MMC and MEC specifications
  1. Click the information icon next to “File” to review acceptable file formats for each asset type
  2. Drag and drop or click “My computer” to select the replacement file
  3. Click Upload file

Important: All replacement assets must match the requirements in Prime Video Delivery Specifications.
