Artwork Specifications Updates
The Originals and Exclusives section in the artwork specifications page has been updated with revised verbiage to provide clearer guidance for partners delivering artwork for exclusive content.

New Season and Episode Ordering Customization Now Available
We’re introducing a new feature to help you maximize engagement with your TV Series content by ensuring customers start with the most relevant episodes. Effective November 24th, reverse season and episode ordering will be automatically implemented for applicable content types, prioritizing the latest content for series where chronological viewing isn’t essential. This ensures customers see the most relevant episodes first. In addition, we are providing partners with the ability to customize the ordering using three new values in the MEC file’s WorkTypeDetail field:

  • StartAtLatestSeasonFirstEpisode: Reverses season sorting and defaults to the latest season’s first episode. Ideal for Anthology series, Reality series, and Game Shows.
  • StartAtLatestSeasonLatestEpisode: Reverses both season and episode sorting, defaulting to the most recent episode. Perfect for News, Sports, and Talk Shows where the latest content is most relevant.
  • Chronological: Reverts series back to standard chronological ordering if you prefer traditional season/episode progression. Perfect for Scripted Dramas, Limited Series, Thrillers, and Historical Series where sequential viewing is essential.

This feature optimizes the viewing experience, ensuring customers land on the most relevant starting point for series. The automatic implementation reduces manual configuration while giving partners flexibility to customize when needed. Launched! Asset Quick View expanded feature indicates when playable assets fail a quality measurement
On November 20, 2025, Prime Video has started showing certain errors as part of the information displayed in Asset Quick View. When a playable asset triggers a defect code from one of our pre-publishing quality measurements on video, audio, or timed text, we’ll share this information in both Asset Quick View and the existing Redelivery program emails. We wanted to ensure a comfortable transition to this new defect reporting method, so you and your teams can expect to see defects listed in both places until at least March 31, 2026.

We have also updated the Quality measurement and feedback page in the Slate support guide to indicate which quality measurements will be shown in Asset Quick View and when. Visit Quality measurement and feedback to see the scheduled migration dates for each error and the Asset Quick View page to learn more about the feature.

Dashboard and Analytics Improvements

We’ve launched comprehensive support documentation for the new Playback Analytics dashboard, including an updated data dictionary. This enhancement provides PVC Partners with detailed guidance on interpreting playback metrics and utilizing the dashboard effectively for content performance analysis.

Global Localization and Language Support

TVOD Global Requirements Update: The Localized asset requirements section has been updated to reflect current global content delivery standards, ensuring partners have accurate guidance for international content distribution.

Japanese Translation Corrections: We’ve addressed translation issues in Japanese support pages where English technical terms were incorrectly translated. Field names and values that should remain in English have been corrected to ensure accurate technical documentation.

Financial and Payment Process Updates

The self-service promotions support page has been updated with enhanced FAQs and clearer guidance to help partners navigate promotional tools more effectively.

Looking Ahead

Prime Video continues to prioritize partner experience improvements through regular support guide updates, enhanced documentation, and streamlined processes. We encourage partners to utilize the updated Contact Support tools to share feedback and development requests that help us improve your Prime Video Slate experience. For complete details on any of these updates, please refer to the specific support guide sections mentioned above or contact our support team through the enhanced Contact Support form available in the Slate portal.
