File naming rules

When delivering files (Amazon XML metadata and manifests, Amazon XLS metadata, MEC XML metadata, MMC XML manifests, avails, images, videos, audio, timed text, dub cards, etc.) you must adhere to the following file naming rules:

  • Spaces, Unicode characters, or other special characters aren't allowed.
  • Underscores ("_") can be used to separate words within a single section of the file name. Ensure you are not using underscores when a hyphen ("-") is required when using File Naming Convention.
  • File names in asset manifests and metadata must match exactly the file names of delivered assets. These file names are case sensitive.
  • Periods in file names aren't allowed.
