Supply Chain Updates, April 2026

New requirements for music rights, dialog boost specifications, UK-specific ratings, episodic artwork, and more! Last updated 2026-04-27

Hello, valued partners! This page serves as a notification to inform you of recent updates.

Music Licensing & Cue Sheet Guidance for CAM Productions

We’ve created a new Music rights requirements guide to address common questions about music licensing for licensed content and provides clear instructions on the cue sheet delivery process. This will help streamline your music-related deliveries and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

Dialogue Boost Feature Specifications

Added Dialog Boost feature specifications. Dialogue Boost is an accessibility feature that enhances dialogue clarity for viewers. The updated specifications outline the technical requirements for content that supports this feature, ensuring your titles can take advantage of this customer-facing enhancement.

Contact Us FAQ Now Available in All Languages

We’ve localized the FAQ about accessing proxies in Brightspot, making it available in all supported Slate languages. This ensures that partners worldwide can access help documentation in their preferred language, improving your ability to self-service common questions about proxy access.

New UK-Specific Ratings Requirements

We’ve published new territory-specific requirements for the United Kingdom on the Ratings page in Video Central. These guidelines provide UK-specific instructions for content ratings and descriptors, ensuring your titles meet local regulatory requirements for the UK marketplace.

Important update for content providers delivering to Great Britain (GB):
All titles submitted in Great Britain must now include official BBFC ratings and content advice whenever available. Here’s what you need to know:

  • BBFC ratings can be verified on the BBFC website
  • Do not self-apply BBFC ratings if your title hasn’t been officially classified by the BBFC
  • For unclassified titles, you may submit a suggested Amazon Maturity Rating: All, 7+, 13+, 16+, or 18+
  • Titles without ratings should be submitted as NR.

Coming Soon: New Tentpole Classification in Assets Tab

Coming in May: A Tentpole classification will be added to the Catalog Manager: Mini Dashboard in the Assets tab. We are updating a widget and a new Assets tab columns to help you quickly identify and prioritize high-priority content that requires immediate attention before launch. Click the widget to filter your workload and focus on critical catalog actions for your most important titles.

Coming Soon: Episodic Artwork Requirement

Episodic artwork will be required for all Prime Video content, and we want to make sure you’re prepared well ahead of the deadline.

Starting April 24, 2026, episodic artwork — 16:9 still images that capture the essence of an episode without revealing spoilers — will be a requirement across all Prime Video content serial content. This update is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for customers. Delivery compliance is required by June 1, 2026, for new series delivered to Prime Video, but this will not block publishing.

A quick note on technical specs: The specifications table in Slate will be updated to rename the “preferred resolution” column to “required resolution,” with 4K (3840px x 2160px) established as the required standard where applicable. Be sure to review the latest specifications on Slate to ensure your assets meet the updated requirements.

Coming Soon: Self-Service Bulk Proxy Link Generation

Self-service bulk proxy link generation is coming in May in Asset Quick View, and with it, the ability to generate proxy links at scale directly and independently — no routing through support channels required. This upcoming capability has been purpose-built to address the gap partners have experienced with high-volume link creation, and will mark a meaningful step forward in streamlining workflows for teams operating at scale.

In the meantime, we are pleased to share that bulk proxy link generation via the Contact Us flow has been re-enabled as a stop-gap solution to keep partner operations running smoothly until the self-service experience is live. Partners can submit requests through the Contact Us channel to generate proxy links in bulk, eliminating the need to create links one at a time and reducing the workflow friction that had previously impacted efficiency. While this is a temporary measure, it ensures that partners are not left without a path forward during the transition. We encourage teams to leverage this channel for their bulk generation needs today, with the confidence that a more seamless, scalable, and self-serve solution is actively in development and coming soon.

Coming Soon: New Metadata Visibility Features on Asset Quick View

Starting in mid-May, Asset Quick View will be giving you greater transparency into your content and helping you catch and fix issues faster.

Later this month, select partners will be the first to gain access to a suite of new capabilities — including the ability to see live storefront metadata, view submitted metadata contributions, and get alerted to any errors in those contributions, all within Slate.

In the coming months, all partners will follow with a phased rollout: first gaining access to live metadata and contribution visibility, with error detection coming by mid-June. By June 15th, all partners will also have visibility into errors detected in live metadata.

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to each milestone — we’re excited to bring these tools to you and make it easier than ever to manage your content quality in one place.
