Dashboard reporting

Last updated 2024-11-25

Notes:

  • In Performance Metrics reports, the streaming duration is displayed in minutes, in the Minutes streamed column. Earnings reports show the streaming duration in hours, in the Duration Streamed column.
  • The Royalty Amount column in your Earnings report is based on the streaming events (Minutes streamed and Unique streams columns) in your Performance Metrics report.
  • Performance Metrics reports typically update on your Dashboard within five days for all marketplaces. Earnings reports will be available in your Dashboard 30 days after the close of a month.

Performance Metrics reports

You can track minutes and unique streams for one or all of your titles in the Performance report. Unique Streams is the total count of unique streaming sessions. It’s the same as the total count of customer Play button clicks. For example, if a customer starts watching a title in a web browser, switches to a mobile device, and then continues on Fire TV, it’s counted as three unique streams.

To run a Performance Metrics report:

  1. On the home page of your Prime Video Slate account, click Insights.
  2. In Dashboard, under Performance Metrics, use the dropdowns to select:
    1. Either Minutes streamed (and monetization type) or Unique streams (and monetization type).
    2. A time period.
    3. One or all of your titles.

Earnings reports

Get a snapshot of your estimated royalty in the Earnings section. This report can be exported at the monthly level and displays duration streamed in hours.

To run an Earnings report:

  1. In Dashboard, under Earnings, select the time period.
Your earnings appear by availability type and marketplace.

You might notice a difference between the streaming minutes shown in the Performance Metrics section of your Dashboard and the streaming hours shown in the Earnings section. After converting minutes to hours or vice versa, differences between these two figures might be caused by the following reasons:

  • When customers watch your video offline (for example, by downloading it to a Kindle Fire device), that device will not report the streaming activity until it reconnects to the Internet.
    • In the Performance Metrics section, this streaming activity is attributed to the same day the customer streamed your video.
    • In the Earnings section, this streaming activity is accounted for in the month in which it is actually reported by the device. This ensures we pay you for all streaming activity, even if the streaming activity is reported after the month in which it occurred has ended.
  • You might have reached a payment cap under your Digital License Agreement with Amazon. These caps are reflected in the Earnings section of your Dashboard. Please refer to your Digital License Agreement for details.
  • Streaming minutes are reported in the Performance Metrics section within five business days of the streaming event. However, if the streaming event is at the end of the month (such as January 31), the streams might be shown in the following month’s Earnings report.

Note: We issue payments approximately 90 days after the end of the month in which the revenue event occurred.

Payments reports

The Payments section shows payments per sales period and marketplace. In addition to payment issued, tax withholding, adjustments, net earnings, and foreign exchange (FX) rates are shown. The FX rate listed is for when your payment was processed.

We issue payments approximately 90 days after the end of the month in which the revenue event occurred. Payments are made through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) by default based on your bank’s location. If EFT isn’t supported for your location, you will be paid via wire transfer. For more information, see Compensation details.

To run a Payments report:

  1. In Dashboard, under Payments, select the time period and marketplace.

Note: In Slate, you can also choose Financial > Invoices and payments for additional payment details or information.

Export data

You can export historical data for up to 24 months as a comma-separated value (.csv) file. Most spreadsheet and database programs can import a .csv file.

To export a report as a .csv file:

  1. In Dashboard, under one of the report sections, select the options to include in the report.
  2. Click Export to CSV.

Tips:

  • Remember, in the Performance Metrics report, Minutes streamed is displayed in minutes, whereas in the Earnings report, Duration Streamed is displayed in hours.
  • When you consolidate reports, make sure to filter earnings and performance to match the payment period.
  • Use a pivot chart to view aggregate performance and earnings, rather than looking at the raw data.
