A new Slate AI Assistant, enhanced validation for Poster Art, Prime Sampling, the Datasets API, and more Last updated 2025-06-30

Hello, valued partners! This page serves as a notification to inform you of recent updates.

Try out Slate’s new AI Assistant

The Prime Video Slate product team has launched AI Assistant, a support bot to help you work with Slate. Based on the official Slate support guide, AI Assistant can help you navigate the Slate portal, track title status, manage Slate access for your team, and more. While AI Assistant is currently available in English only, we welcome your feedback and look forward to integrating with more languages soon. For complete information, including how to rate the AI Assistant’s responses and provide more feedback, see Prime Video Slate AI Assistant. You can also click the chat icon in the upper right corner of Slate and give it a try!

Enhanced validation processes for artwork begin in July

Starting in July 2025, we’re enhancing our image validation process to provide additional visibility into artwork that doesn’t meet our specifications. Partners will now see validation failures in the Delivery and Assets tabs when images do not meet our minimum size requirements. This change will help maintain high-quality imagery across the Prime Video catalog while providing clearer feedback during the delivery process.

To ensure successful delivery of artwork assets, please review our required minimum sizes in Artwork specifications, before you submit artwork.

Prime Sampling program is now available

The Prime Sampling program lets partners make selected content available to Prime customers in front of a channel paywall. Existing customers and new subscribers alike are able to access full TV seasons and movies for a month at a time, and are incentivized to start a subscription to watch additional content. To learn more about the program and sign up to participate, see Prime Sampling Program in the support guide.

New Datasets API in Slate Analytics

The Datasets API lets partner data engineers build clients to consume granular data and perform analytics. This new endpoint supports both subscription and playback; in fact, playback datasets are only available through the Datasets API. To learn how to set up pipelines to retrieve datasets, understand the values in the dataset files, and develop informative queries, see Datasets API in the Slate support guide.

Updates to linear metadata requirements

We’ve updated the linear metadata requirements for multiple program types, and provided new samples of station, program, and movie artwork that meet our requirements (and some examples of what not to do). For the most current guidelines, see Linear metadata requirements for content partners.

Accessibility vendors added to Prime Preferred Vendor Services

The Prime Preferred Vendor Services program (PVS) has added a selection of best-in-class global accessibility service providers to their roster. These vendors specialize in high-quality audio description and closed captioning for people with disabilities, helping Prime Video to offer a diverse range of content to an even wider global audience. For details, see Preferred Accessibility Vendor service.

Coming soon: Asset Quick View

On June 30, we’re launching Asset Quick View to give partners more detailed visibility into their assets, such as images, subtitles, and more. You’ll be able to easily identify Prime Video-provided assets at a glance and override them with your own, if preferred.

We’ll launch complete instructions for using Asset Quick View here in the Slate support guide when the tool is released. On or after June 30, search the help docs for “Asset Quick View,” or click the following link when it becomes active: Asset Quick View.

Coming soon: TV box set bundles

On August 30, Prime Video will offer customers TV box sets, a bundle of all completed seasons of a TV series (for example: “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”). You will be able to deliver EMA avails for this bundle type after June 30. Bundles for movie collections and bundle-exclusive extras will be released later this year.

We’ll launch complete instructions for how to deliver TV box set bundles here in the Slate support guide when the feature is released. On or after June 30, search the help docs for “TV box set,” or click the following link when it becomes active: Season passes, season offers, and content bundles.
