Text Legibility Requirements
Clear and legible text is essential for delivering information to your audience. Text must remain readable on every device, from desktop to mobile.
A common issue occurs on smaller devices where text becomes too small to read. If your artwork contains illegible text, you must create an alternate version and resubmit.

Contrast Ratio
- All text must have a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio between the text color and the background.
- This applies to all text types: title treatments, cast names, and any other overlaid text.
Title Treatment Rules
The title treatment is how your title’s name appears on the artwork. Follow these rules for every submission.
- The title treatment can occupy up to 50% of the asset’s total height.
- It must meet both minimum size and contrast ratio requirements.
- Avoid extraneous text unless it is mandatory (such as required legal credits).
- Title treatment must be clearly displayed and legible on smaller devices.
Editorial Requirements
Season-Level Images
- Season-level images should contain the title treatment only.
- Do not add season or volume numbers to season-level images.
- Prime Video may add an badge in the upper right corner. Avoid placing critical material in this area.
Episode Level Images
- Episode-level images are expected for all TV content, in addition to season-level images.
- Each episode within a season must have a dedicated image.
- Must be a still from that specific episode.
- Must contain persons or objects representative of that episode.
- Must be textless.

Safe zone best practices:
- Place background art with visual details on the right side of your artwork.
- On living room and web devices, the left side is covered with a UI overlay gradient and metadata.

Right-to-Left (RTL) Artwork
Arabic and Hebrew are read right-to-left. Customers with their UI set to these languages see overlay metadata on the right side of the screen, not the left.
You must provide an RTL version of your artwork if you are publishing in any of these territories:
