This article provides an overview of and how to get started with Video Central, the partner portal for Prime Video. Access to Video Central is invite-only. For access, contact your operational or business contact at Prime Video or a member of your team.
Video Central enables studios and posthouses to self-service their business (e.g., TVOD, SVOD, Prime Video Channels) with Prime Video. Video Central is a counterpart to the Prime Video Direct (PVD) portal for self-publishers who don't want to execute bulk, spec-driven deliveries.
Video Central has features supporting three use cases — finance, business, and operations. Below is a brief summary of the features available on the Video Central portal.
Permission type | Feature | Description |
---|---|---|
Banking information | Bank and tax onboarding | Enables a studio to self-configure banking preferences and take necessary tax interviews to be paid in a given locale. |
Reports | Business reports | Publishes contractually obligated reports (e.g., TVOD, Channels) and premium analytics that provide insights into a partner’s business. |
File delivery | Deliveries | Provides feedback on the quality of a partner’s file deliveries (i.e. EMA avails, metadata, assets) and whether a redelivery is required. |
Requests | Shows which assets are due and when based on the content rights Prime Video has received through avails or title lists. | |
Delivery reports | Provides insights into delivery success rate and recurring defects to drive supply chain improvements. | |
Notifications | Daily email digests to alert of failed files and pending deliveries. | |
Title Manager | Titles | Provides real-time visibility into your Prime Video catalog (i.e. title name, SKU ID), title publishing status including error status, and storefront offers created from content rights (Avails) delivered. |
Access to Video Central is invite-only. If you don't have a Video Central account, contact a member of your team who has access.
Don’t share your account credentials with anyone. If you want to grant another person access to your Video Central account, use the Invite Users feature. In addition to adding and removing authorized people, you can set the role, or the amount of access, the other person has.
Each person you want to invite must first provide you with a unique user code. To get the user code, the other person must go to https://account.videocentral.amazon.com/user-code and sign in with an existing or new Amazon account based on a work email address. (For amazon.co.jp accounts, go to https://account.videocentral.amazon.co.jp/user-code). A multi-factor authentication process is required. A user code appears that the other person should provide to you.
To add the person and grant permissions, do the following:
If no member of your team has access to the permission level you need and you can't be invited to gain access to your team’s Video Central account, contact your Prime Video Partner Operations Manager or Content Acquisition Manager.
