Prime Video has launched its next generation delivery specification One Catalog. Previously, content partners had to deliver multiple versions of the same title for each Classic Marketplace (US, GB, DE, and JP) in Classic Specs and for Global Marketplaces in Global Specs. One Catalog removes the requirement to deliver redundant versions and shifts deliveries to a single component-based package to service all territories. This prepares for the deprecation of our Classic Specs including AXML, file naming convention, Excel metadata, and flat files with burned-in subtitles or muxed dubbed audio. Some content partners have migrated to One Catalog. We plan to migrate remaining content partners by the end of 2023 and deprecate classic packaging. Migration is in phases and content partners will be notified of migration scheduling directly by Prime Video or by the fulfillment vendor making deliveries on their behalf. After migration to One Catalog, they’re responsible for ensuring all deliveries adhere to the updated specifications. Failure to do so will result in publishing failures and delays. If you haven’t been contacted concerning your migration date, please open a ticket and we’ll follow up with more information. |
