Supply Chain Updates, May 2026

Localization expansions, content guidelines, support page improvements, and policy updates! Last updated 2026-05-19

Hello, valued partners! This page serves as a notification to inform you of recent updates.

Launched: Hero 8x3 Artwork Spec for Partner Delivery

We’re thrilled to announce that partners are now able to deliver 8:3 heroes—housed in one of the most prominent placements on PV, that was previously reserved for marketing use only. As this is an optional asset, there will be no gating or backfill efforts. The specifications for this asset will be coming soon to SLATE but can be found in design portal in the meantime.

Launched: Partner Submitted Clips Delivery

Prime Video has updated its delivery specifications in alignment with MovieLabs standards to support the new Clips content type — short-form scenes (30 sec – 3 min) that surface your most compelling moments in Prime Video’s high-traffic discovery carousels on mobile. Partners can now deliver clip assets via either the Simplified XML Manifest or MovieLabs MEC & MMC path. For full technical details on formatting, packaging, metadata requirements, and sample files, please refer to the Promotional Assets: Clips delivery spec on Video Central.

Launched: Promotional Assets Tool

The new Promotional Assets Tool is now live in Slate, giving you a single destination to view, preview, and manage all your Clips. From the landing page, you can see your top-performing Clips and their latest engagement metrics — including views, likes, and Watchlist additions. Use the detailed table view to filter by status, territory, or date range, and open the quick view panel to preview any live Clip, check key details, and monitor performance — all without leaving the page. You can also remove a Clip directly from the quick view when needed. Access Promotional Assets from the Marketing dropdown or the Key Tools section on the Slate home page.

Launched: Proxy Links Export for Playable Assets

You can now export up to 500 proxy links at once directly from the Assets tab in Slate — no more pulling them one by one. Apply your preferred filters (by SKU, asset type, language, or delivery status), select “Proxy links for playable assets” from the Export dropdown, and download a single CSV file with all the links you need for review, vendor distribution, or QC. Exports generate in the background so you can keep working, and completed files are available for re-download for up to 5 days.

Note that proxy links are valid for 7 days from the time of export — the expiry timestamp is included in your CSV column header for easy reference.

Updates to Prime Video Dubbing & Subtitling Guidelines

We’re excited to announce the publication of two new resources on Slate: thePrime Video Dubbing Guidelines and Subtitling Guidelines. While PV maintainscomprehensive language-specific Timed Text Style Guides for over 30 priority territories, there has not previously been a unified resource capturing the core localization principles that apply across all languages and territories. These new guidelines fill that gap.

The Dubbing Guidelines establish Prime Video’s quality tenets for translation and adaptation, voice casting and performance, and recording and mixing. The Subtitling Guidelines distill the universal principles embedded across all language-specific style guides and elaborate on the foundational tenets that underpin subtitling quality at Prime Video.
Together, these resources provide a creative framework to help localization partners understand both what Prime Video expects and why these standards matter for delivering immersive viewing experiences to global audiences. They are designed to complement the detailed specs and style guides, which continue to provide language- and scenario-specific operational direction.

These guidelines are a living resource and will continue to evolve and expand over time. We welcome feedback from our partner community as we refine and build on this foundation.

Full Extract and Fan Out Logic in Avails

We have updated our Content Rights Slate Support Guide page to clarify how Prime Video defines scope within Full Extract avails.Full Extract means that new avail entries replace all current and future avail entries within the same scope. Prime Video defines scope as the unique combination of licensor, unique ID, GroupIdentity, quality, territory, and the rights model.

Additionally, we wish to remind partners that per our Fanout territory logic Support Guide, that if fanout territories were provided in your EMA Avail submission that they must be updated individually alongside the mainland scope. For example, if PR received individual rights, it must be updated and will not inherit the US scope rights when US is updated.

Coming Soon: Catalog Manager: Mini Dashboard - Offer Classification

A new “Offer Classification” column and Tentpole Designated Title flag are coming to the Catalog Manager Mini Dashboard in the Assets tab. This update helps you instantly identify high-priority content that requires immediate attention before launch windows. Filter to Tentpole assets due in the next 14 days from the Action Needed widget, and prioritize redelivery defects by Tentpole vs. Standard urgency in the Redelivery widget. Offer classification data will be available via export in the May launch; API integration for automated workflows will follow in June.

Coming Soon: Asset QuickView: Lightweight Media Player and Image Preview

Two new capabilities are coming to Asset Quick View - Lightweight Media Player and Image Preview in Asset Quick View - giving you faster, inline access to your content directly from the Assets tab. Both features are designed to help you increase asset coverage and compliance on Prime Video by streamlining how you review playable assets and artwork in one place.

  • Lightweight Media Player: Plays proxy links (content) directly in an inline player withinthe Asset Quick View panel. No more navigating away to review your deliveries.
  • Image Preview: Quickly confirm artwork quality and identify defects without leaving your workflow.

Coming Soon: Asperaon Cloud Migration

By June 2026, Prime Video will be migrating from the current implementation of Aspera (Aspera Shares) to Aspera on Cloud. All users who will need access to Aspera on Cloud as a primary delivery mechanism mustsubmittheir information for Prime Video to create new credentials via the Aspera on Cloud Migration form.

Once new credentials are set up, Prime Video will inform you via email and provide detailed self-service instructionsregardingmigration which can also be found on the Aspera on Cloud Migration support guide. Migration must becompleteby the June 30th shut-down date. If you do not wish to migrate to Aspera on Cloud, AWS S3 is available as an alternative. More information can be found here.

Coming Soon: Ingesting Content via mRSS

In June 2026, Prime Video will be offering mRSS ingestion as an alternative method to deliver episodic content as part of the bulk delivery pipeline. Our goal is to enable our partners to delivery quick-turn content, such as Podcasts and live news programming, more efficiently. If you are interested in exploring mRSS delivery please reach out to your Prime Video contact or use the Contact Us form.

Updates to Partner Submitted Intent Data Processing

Starting May 1st,we’veupdated how we process Partner Submitted Intent data to improve tracking accuracy and turnaround times.
Here’s what this means for you:

  • All partner submitted intent data must now be tied to a specific VCID, File Name, DefectSub Group, Defect Group, Quality, and Language— blanket submissions with broad error descriptions or generic comments across all titles will no longer be accepted.
  • This change allows us to route and resolve issues faster by pinpointing exactly where a defect lives.
  • You’ll experience quicker turnaround on defect resolution and clearer visibility into the status of your submissions.

This update is designed to streamline the defect tracking process and reduce back-and-forth, so your team spends less time following up and more time focused on delivery.

Deprecation Notice: Content Issues Report Email

The Content Issues Report (Redelivery) email will be deprecated on June 15, 2026, as it is being replaced by a comprehensive suite of self-service error management tools now available directly in Slate. These new tools — including Proxy Links Export for Playable Assets (live now), an updated Catalog Mini-Dash, and Live Artwork Status, Metadata Defects, Artwork Defects, Post-Publish Defects, Defect Details Commentary, and Redelivery Export File — give you real-time access to the same information and more, with expanded coverage across all managed partners and more up-to-date surfacing of defects. We encourage all partners to familiarize themselves with these new features ahead of the transition.
