Bulk Proxy Export is a self-service feature on Slate that enables studio partners and vendors to export proxy links for playable media assets in bulk directly from the Assets tab. Instead of pulling proxy links one by one through the Asset Quick View experience, partners can now download a single CSV file containing up to 500 proxy links — streamlining review workflows, vendor distribution, and QC processes.
Important: Proxy links are valid for 7 days from the time the export is generated. Plan your review and distribution workflows accordingly.

Custom Column Exports
Partners can also export using a custom column configuration:
- Two export options appear in the Export drop-down: one for default columns and one for custom columns.
- Custom column exports reflect the column configuration you have set in the Assets tab tabular view.
- The Proxy Link and Proxy Status columns are always included regardless of custom configuration.
Step-by-Step Instructions
How to Export Proxy Links
- Navigate to the Assets tab in Slate.
- Apply filters to narrow your asset set (e.g., by SKU, Asset Type, language, or delivery status).
- Locate the Export drop-down button in the toolbar.
- Select“Proxy links for playable assets”from the drop-down menu.
- A footnote will appear explaining the export behavior and proxy link scope — review it before proceeding.
- The export will begin generating in the background.
- You may navigate away from the Assets tab; the export will continue processing.
How to Download Your Export
- Navigate to “View export history”from the Export drop-down.
- Locate your completed export entry in the list.
- Each entry shows the export type, date/time generated, and a download link.
- Click the download link to save the CSV file.
- Open the CSV file in your preferred spreadsheet application (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
How to Use Proxy Links
- Open the downloaded CSV file.
- Locate the Proxy Link column.
- Copy and paste any proxy link into a web browser to play the media asset.
- Share proxy links with vendors or internal reviewers as needed for QC workflows.
- Important: Proxy links expire after7 days— plan your review workflow accordingly.

Proxy Availability by Delivery Status
The proxy link export uses the same underlying proxy generation as individual proxy link requests in Asset Quick View. All proxy availability rules apply at scale. The table below explains which delivery statuses will produce proxy links in your export:

Note:The Assets tab does not expose intermediate processing states, so you may not always be able to determine definitively whether a proxy will be available while an asset is in “Processing” status. If encoding is complete but publishing is blocked (e.g., by a title lock or regression check), a proxy link will be available. If encoding is still in progress, it will not.
5.2 Proxy Availability by Asset Type
Mezzanine (Video)
Proxies are available for SDR and HDR content in HD and SD quality tiers. UHD, HDR10, and 8K content is proxied as HD quality (per security recommendations). Dolby Vision does not currently have proxy support.
Tip: File Size & Quality Filtering HD proxy files can be significantly larger than SD proxies. If you are looking for lightweight proxies for quick review, filter for Quality = SD before exporting. Additionally, be aware that if a partner delivered only an HD video, the system may generate both an SD and an HD proxy link. Unless you filter by quality, both will appear in your export. Trailers
There are two trailer types, and proxy availability differs between them. Trailers with its own SKU (promotional content type supplied through Value Added Material spec) will have proxies while legacy trailers that shares a SKU with the mezzanine will not.
Audio
Proxies are available for all audio assets except Atmos. Atmos proxy generation has not yet been implemented.
Timed Text (Subtitles)
