Global SVOD requirements

Last updated 2024-06-20

All technical requirements for SVOD launches correspond to the Prime Video global specifications, outlined in the Global packaging requirements. Prime Video accepts MovieLabs specification assets and core title metadata (like MMC and MEC) and EMA 1.7.2 or 1.7.3 avails for our Global catalog. Please see Sample files to view examples of accepted files, and please review the content of this page carefully before making deliveries.

Publishing requirements

This section presents the minimum requirements to publish SVOD titles, but we encourage partners to deliver all the localized assets (images, audio, timed text) that are available to them so that we can offer the best experience to customers.

To publish a SVOD offer, Prime Video requires a full delivery package with metadata and assets for that territory. For each title, the following deliveries are required:

Prime Video reserves the right to withhold publishing titles if they don’t satisfy our localization criteria. Catalog Manger in Prime Video Slate will display all required title parts that a partner or post house must fulfill for a title to go live on Prime Video. As you deliver content rights (avails) to Prime Video, requests populate with all delivery requirements, including the localizations necessary for a designated territory. As you and your post house deliver assets, requests provide live updates of title fulfillment, and display any file-level errors preventing fulfillment. Please consult this resource regularly to avoid content delays due to missing publishing requirements. To learn more about this feature, go to the support page for Catalog Manager.
