What Is a Season Pass?

A Season Pass lets your customers buy or rent an entire TV season in one transaction. Unlike a Season Offer, customers receive access to each episode progressively as it becomes available. This schedule often aligns with the broadcast calendar for the show.

Quick Tip

Season Passes align well with live sports and new broadcast shows. Customers who want early access can purchase the full season upfront. They then receive each episode as it airs, without needing to buy each episode one at a time.

Meet season-level and episodic-level requirements for your Season Pass to publish.

Season-Level Requirements

Episodic-Level Requirements

At least one episode is publish-ready.
At least one episode in the season is availed with a start date in the future. Metadata and assets are not required for future episodes.

Same Day Content

For SDP content, deliver metadata at least 24 hours before the Season Pass is scheduled to launch. This is a recommended best practice.

Know Before You Go

Verify that at least one episode is fully ready with a future avail start date before publishing.

For SDP content, set a reminder to deliver metadata 24 hours in advance of launch.

Season Passes are Classic territory only. Use a Season Offer if you need Global territory coverage.
