This guide walks you through every price field, accepted value, and currency code. Use it to submit accurate EMA Avails the first time.

All pricing fields fall into one of four categories. Understanding these categories helps you prioritize your submission and avoid delays.

Price Fields
Your price fields control how Prime Video processes your TVOD rights. Getting these right means your titles go live without delays.
PriceType and PriceValue are required for all TVOD (EST/VOD) rights. Requirements vary by contract type.
PriceType
PriceType tells Prime Video what cost terms apply to your content. It can vary across content types. For example, Movie EST can differ from Movie VOD. All titles within a content type must share the same PriceType.
PriceType has four accepted values:

PriceType: SVOD vs. TVOD
Your choice of PriceType depends on your rights model. Here is a quick guide:
- SVOD rights: PriceType is not applicable for subscription content.
- AVOD rights: PriceType is not applicable for ad-supported content.
- TVOD rights (EST/VOD): PriceType and PriceValue are both required.
- Fixed revenue-share contract: Use NA for both PriceType and PriceValue. You may add an SRP.
- Varying terms by content type or title: Use WSP, Tier, or Category. Confirm with your Account Manager if unsure.
PriceValue
PriceValue works hand-in-hand with PriceType. Your PriceValue format must match your chosen PriceType exactly.
- When PriceType is NA: Enter NA in PriceValue.
- When PriceType is WSP: Enter a monetary value (for example, 4.50, 8.99, 20.00). Only numeric values are accepted.
- When PriceType is Tier: Enter the pre-defined tier string your Account Manager approved (for example, Tier 1, NR, PVOD).
- When PriceType is Category: Enter the pre-defined category string your Account Manager approved (for example, New Release-1, Library, LIB).
PriceCurrency
PriceCurrency tells Prime Video which currency applies to your PriceValue when PriceType is WSP. It also applies to any value in the SRP field.
Use ISO 4217 currency codes. Find the correct code for your territory in the Currency Map per Territory table below.
When PriceCurrency is required:
- Required: PriceCurrency is required when PriceType is WSP and you have a monetary PriceValue.
- Required: PriceCurrency is required when you supply an SRP value.
- Can be left empty: PriceCurrency is not required when PriceType is not WSP and SRP is empty.
SRP (Suggested Retail Price)
SRP is the Suggested Retail Price for your title in local currency. Providing an SRP gives Prime Video additional pricing context.
- SRP is optional. You do not have to supply it.
- If you supply an SRP, use numerical values only (for example, 10.49, 13.99).
- If you supply an SRP, also populate PriceCurrency.
- Text or non-numeric values in the SRP field will be rejected.

Currency Map per Territory
Use this table to find the ISO 4217 currency code for every country and territory you serve. Prime Video uses this table to add a default currency to avails for territories without a mapped currency. This applies to your EMA 1.7+ and EMA 1.6 avails.

Run through these checks before you submit your EMA Avails file. Each item helps you avoid a common cause of rejection or delay.
PriceType is discarded for SVOD rights. You do not need per-title pricing for SVOD.
PriceType and PriceValue are both present for all TVOD (EST/VOD) rights.
PriceType is consistent across all titles within the same content type. For example, all Movie EST avails use the same PriceType.
PriceValue for WSP is a numeric value only (for example, 4.50). No text characters are included.
PriceValue for Tier or Category matches the string your Account Manager approved exactly.
PriceCurrency is populated whenever PriceType is WSP.
PriceCurrency is populated whenever SRP has a value.
PriceCurrency is left empty only when PriceType is not WSP and SRP is also empty.
SRP contains numeric values only (for example, 10.49, 13.99). No currency symbols or text.
All currency codes use the ISO 4217 standard. Use the Currency Map table above to verify.
If you are unsure whether to use WSP, Tier, or Category, confirm with your Account Manager.
Tier and Category PriceValues have been pre-approved. You are not using any unapproved values.
