The below list provides examples of the types of content Prime Video licenses on our service.
Unsupported content types
Prime Video doesn’t accept user-generated content, or other types of videos that aren’t normally considered feature-length movies or TV shows. Additional content categories that are no longer accepted via Prime Video Slate may include (but aren’t limited to) product reviews, product unboxing, compilation videos, news segments, vlogs, health videos, toy play, selfie/YouTube videos (Tik Tok/reaction videos), home videos, slideshows, lectures, videogame play, tutorials, listicles (i.e. top 10 videos), and ambient content.
Category list (not all categories accepted at this time)
- Movies
Professionally produced content containing a storyline with a runtime of 40 minutes or more.
- TV shows
(Episodic titles only) Professionally produced content containing a storyline with episode runtimes that exceed 20 minutes.
- Short films
Professionally produced content containing a storyline with a runtime of 40 minutes or less for standalone content or 20 minutes or less for episodes.
Note: We currently aren’t accepting submissions for short films.
- Concerts and performances
Content of a performer or group of performers presenting one or more works of art, including live performances.
- Educational
Content which is instructional or educational in nature.
Interviews
Content containing one-on-one or one-to-many conversations in a question-and-answer forum.- Sporting events
Content of a broadcast of sanctioned athletic or sporting events.
