In this video, you will learn about Prime Video’s
publishing requirements and specifications.
When your artwork meets all requirements on the first
submission, your title goes live without delays.
Let’s get started!
Artwork falls into two categories, Required and Enhanced.
Let’s dive into the required types first.
The required artwork types are: Cover Art,
Episodic Art,
Hero Art,
Movie and Season Box Art,
and Poster Art.
Deliver all required assets before expecting your
title to go live.
Now that we’ve gone over what the required types are,
let’s take a closer look at their specifications.
Cover Art, Episodic Art, and Hero Art all have an
aspect ratio of 16 by 9 and a resolution of 3,840
by 2,160 pixels.
Movie Box Art has an aspect ratio of 3 by 4 and a
resolution of 1,920 by 2,560 pixels.
Season Box Art has an aspect ratio of 4 by 3 and a
resolution of 2,560 by 1,920 pixels.
Poster Art has an aspect ratio of 2 by 3 and a resolution
of 2,000 by 3,000 pixels.
Let’s move on to the enhanced artwork types.
Enhanced artwork gives your title more visibility,
more discoverability, and a better customer experience.
The enhanced types are:
Carousel Hero Art,
Trailer and Bonus Art,
Title Art,
and Variant Art.
Now that we know what the enhanced artwork types are,
let’s jump in to their specifications.
Carousel Hero Art has an aspect ratio of 8 by 3 and
a resolution of 3,840 by 1,440 pixels.
Trailer and Bonus Art have an aspect ratio of 16
by 9 and a resolution of 3,840 by 1,440 pixels.
Title Art can be delivered stacked or single line
so the aspect ratio is flexible.
The maximum resolution is 10,000 pixels on either
side.
Variants are alternate versions of Cover, Poster,
and Hero.
Each variant must match the aspect ratio and resolution
of the default artwork type.
It is important to note the resolutions we have gone
over are only minimums.
Always deliver the highest resolution available for
the best customer experience.
Remember, avoid ingestion failures by delivering the
right artwork type with the right aspect ratio and
resolution.
All assets must be either JPG or PNG format, RGB color,
and 10 megabytes maximum.
The only exception to this is Title Art, which must
be under 1 megabyte and delivered as a PNG with a
transparent background.
Lastly, provide original-language or localized artwork
for each intended language locale.
With global artwork, customers will see artwork matched
to their user interface language preference.
Global artwork has a language-locale value with no
region value, this allows customers to see artwork
matched to their territory preference regardless of
location.
Region-specific delivery is an exception for specific
use cases only, such as compliance versions or originals
branding.
Region-specific artwork will override global artwork
in favor of the region specified.
It includes the language-locale value and a region
value.
Please note that region-specific marketing text and
calls-to-action are not accepted.
For customers whose interface language is Arabic or
Hebrew, overlay text is on the right side of the screen
.
To deliver right-to-left hero artwork, use the correct
language codes and keep key visuals clear of the overlay.
This concludes our overview on getting started with
artwork.
You now know the different artwork types, publishing
requirements, and specifications.
